Abstract

As time goes by, the need for fast and correct decision making is becoming increasingly urgent. Accounting Information Systems (AIS) play an important role in processing data into useful information for decision making. However, many MSMEs, including salt companies, have not utilized the Accounting Information System (AIS) optimally and still depend on manual recording. This has a high risk of errors and redundancy and requires a long time for data processing. To overcome this problem, a solution is proposed in the form of developing and implementing a website-based Accounting Information System (AIS) with a model Rapid Application Development (RAD). The system developed covers the purchasing, sales and production cycles, and is equipped with features for login users and inventory management. The test results show that the system can function well, making it easier to record transactions, create reports, and increase operational efficiency.
