Abstract

Boarding houses are temporary residences that are very important for many individuals or community groups, especially for those who migrate or travel long distances for educational or work purposes. However, quite a few people have difficulty finding boarding houses because of the lack of information on boarding houses in the area they want to go to. The aim of this research is to develop a web-based boarding house search information system that can help nomads who want to find boarding houses around Soegijapranata Semarang. It is hoped that this platform can help the temporary housing needs of individuals or groups of people who migrate or travel long distances for work or study purposes. Website development was created using the MERN Stack-based javascript programming language. This language consists of MongoDB as the database, Express.js as the backend framework, React frontend library, and Node.js runtime environment. Requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance are stages of the Software Life Cycle (SDLC) development process. By using MERN Stack-based web technology and the SDLC method, this boarding house search information system can help migrants find temporary accommodation around the Soegijapranata area of Semarang. With this platform, nomads can easily find information about boarding houses that suit their needs, both for educational and work purposes.
