Application of Financial Technology in Culinary Business Accounting Information Systems

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has led to the proliferation of various applications and systems with sophisticated functionality. This technological surge has had a significant impact on the business world, encouraging improvements to existing work systems, especially through the integration of accounting information systems. This system serves a variety of businesses, from micro businesses to large-scale companies. Elvin's Brownies, a micro-enterprise founded in 2023 in the culinary sector, is the subject of this research. By using primary and secondary data sources, this research combines qualitative and quantitative data. Using observation, interviews, and documentation as research methods, this research develops a website-based accounting information system using the PHP programming language. Rapid Application Development (RAD) methods are used to ensure efficient system flow. This system, which is designed to meet business needs, is expected to support Elvin's Brownies operations as a whole. Additionally, this system integrates a payment gateway with Midtrans, which accommodates various payment methods. This is achieved by configuring API Keys, such as Client Keys and Server Keys, into the system code. The implementation of this comprehensive accounting information system is expected to optimize business processes, offering a holistic solution for Elvin's Brownies.
