The Development of an Accounting Information System at The ABC Store with a Waterfall Method-Based Website

Abstract

The ABC shoe store is one of the trading companies in Semarang that are still manual. The WhatsApp message app will record whenever a purchase or sale is made. They find of losing stock of shoes when checking the stock once in 3 months. Lastly, the owners did not know precisely what revenue they had in a month. Based on the problem, the purpose of this research is to develop an accounting information system that includes purchases, inventories and sales following the needs, desires and to solve the problems with the Waterfall method based on the website. First stage is to conduct interviews with the source to determine the needs and limitations of the system, then make a design with use case and activity diagrams. Then the implementation of systems, where that is made with the Laravel and based on the website. After implementation, test with black box testing. The last step maintenance will be carried out once a year. Accounting information systems help the ABC shoe store carry out its activities from purchase, inventory, sales, and other management. This make the business faster, accurate, and more systematic because all its activities have been merged.
